The mantle of leadership of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Powai has been entrusted to me with effect from 1st September 2026. I consider it a privilege and a great responsibility to be a part of this esteemed institution, which has a rich legacy of academic excellence, discipline, values and holistic development.
As I begin this new journey, I envision a Vidyalaya that continues to scale greater heights while constantly enriching the quality and character of education it provides. My endeavour will be to create an environment where every child feels valued, inspired and empowered to discover his or her potential and strive for excellence.
The true strength of any Vidyalaya lies in the harmonious partnership of its students, teachers, parents and the community. With the well-being and holistic development of our students at the centre of all our efforts, I look forward to strengthening this partnership through mutual trust, open communication and collective responsibility.
A teacher is not merely a facilitator of learning but a source of inspiration and a role model for young minds. I shall strive to nurture a motivated, committed and professionally enriched team of teachers who can ignite curiosity, creativity and confidence among students. At the same time, regular interaction with students will remain an important priority so that their aspirations, concerns and challenges are heard and addressed with sensitivity.
Our students are the promise of tomorrow. Every child possesses a unique spark, and it will be our collective endeavour to identify, nurture and channelise these strengths towards meaningful goals. Special attention will be given to academic excellence, skill development, innovation, sports, creativity, values and character building so that our students are prepared not only for examinations and careers but also for the responsibilities of life.
I firmly believe that excellence is not a destination but a continuous journey. Therefore, our focus will be on creating a culture of continuous improvement, where every achievement becomes a stepping stone towards a higher goal and every challenge becomes an opportunity to learn and grow.
